We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with 6 years of professional experience managing environmental restoration projectspreferably for the Department of Defense or other federal and state government agencies.
In this role you will:
- Manage the execution of projects requiring complex logistical planning for remediation and demolition operations in remote Alaska with no health and safety incidents or regulatory compliance issues.
- Lead the technical and field staff demonstrating staff professional growth and attainment of project goals.
- Develop technical scopes of work.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and schedules with defensible assumptions in software applications such as Microsoft Project Schedule and/or Deltek Vision.
- Prepare subcontractor bid packages and evaluate planning and scheduling options for long-term projects with multiple, simultaneous tasks.
- Be familiar with CERCLA, RCRA, and State of Alaska cleanup regulations and ADEC guidance documents and have a proven track record for successfully completing remediation projects within budget and on schedule.
- Conduct presentations for clients and regulators on technical approaches and project findings.
- A degree in engineering or environmental sciences or related scientific degree.
- Professional licensure (PE, CPG, etc.) is preferred, however verifiable past experience with quality references will also be considered.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience managing environmental investigation, remediation, or restoration projects for federal or state government agencies; minimum of three years in Alaska preferred but not required.
- Working knowledge of state and federal regulations and coordination with project stakeholders that may include ADEC, USEPA, USFWS, BLM, and AK native communities.
- Current HAZWOPER certification per 29 CFR1910.120 is preferred.
