What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Beman Group Real Estate?
The Beman Real Estate Company is a full-service real estate firm in Augusta, GA. Our goal is to meet investor's and client's needs through a disciplined, hands-on approach of Acquisition, Brokerage, and Asset Management.
The Maintenance Technician will be vital in preserving the conditions and functionality of premises and help strengthen the relationship between the firm and its owners and tenants.
Responsibilities:
- Survey the building’s mechanical and electrical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
- Resolve structural maintenance work orders such as leaks, window, door, and wall repair.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.).
Requirements & Skills:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
