SUMMARY
The role of the Maintenance Technician is fundamental to the smooth day –to- day operation of beMatrix USA. Acting as the primary contact for all things related to the facility, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating, tracking, maintaining, and planning all facility functions necessary for our business. These functions include, but are not limited to, coordinating maintenance and contract work, ensuring the upkeep of our facility, coordinating compliance and regulatory needs, ensuring permitting is in place when necessary, establishing and remaining diligent on reviewing all regularly scheduled service contracts such as garbage removal, recycling, etc., and owning or assisting in all matters related to facility health. The Maintenance Technician serves as the first point of contact for all beMatrix employees who require assistance related to our facility. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician v will play a key role in the planning and execution of our local facility move planned for the summer of 2025.

- Support the operational aspects of the beMatrix facilities
- Ensure all infrastructure and equipment is in good condition
- Keep all beMatrix buildings (including furnishings, showroom, security, installations, maintenance, renovations, etc.) clean, safe, and well maintained inside and outside
- Resolve issues (self, or through contracted services) with cleaning, facility repair, electrical, sanitation, heating, HVAC, industrial installations, etc.
- Coordinate, supervise, and control subcontractors for all outside services that support our facility
- Assist departments as needed with practical needs such as desk moves, racking set up, etc.
- Perform all necessary administrative tasks associated with supporting the facility
- Develop and track metrics associated with the beMatrix facility
- Maintain accurate records for all services, service providers, and expenses
- Communicate with all necessary departments and team members when normal business will be interrupted due to a facilities action
- Proactive planning for all necessary preventative maintenance needs including machines, industrial trucks, safety equipment, city/county compliance issues
- Be the primary point of contact for coordinating the move of our two Norcross facilities to one consolidated facility in 2025, creating clear plans, organizing the new facility, and ensuring all tasks associated with the move are done on time with minimal disruption to our customers
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma, an associate or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or credentials as a certified technician in a related field
- 5 years in a similar role at a manufacturing company
- Proven experience in warehouse & office space site selection, and overall project management of a company relocation required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Approachable and capable of assimilating to the beMatrix culture
- Analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to own the processes associated with the role and hold themselves and others accountable in a professional way
- Technical knowledge in various areas including HVAC, plumbing, electricity, code, etc.
- Flexibility to balance changing priorities
