The Material Planner monitors run times, staffing, and capacity factors to maintain sufficient workflow for the Production Team. Responsibilities also include overseeing the inbound receiving process, conducting bin audits, maintaining location accuracy, and ensuring data integrity. As part of the Inventory Control Team, this role requires flexibility, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, cross-functional communication, and a commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy.

- Analyze and release planned Work Orders to the Inventory Control Team to pick
- Accurately account for inventory locations on work orders
- Timely communication of released work orders to ensure jobs are picked and brought to production for an on time start
- Monitor work capacity and ensure production work centers have work available at all times
- Communicate inventory or planning issues to the Inventory Manager, Production Team, and Account Managers as necessary
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating production
- Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
- Serve as our ERP expert for how planning impacts both inventory control and production; fix issues as they arise, conduct data audits, own the ERP process
- Utilizing ERP software to manage production and inventory team workload
- Ensures the accuracy of all work orders prior to their release
- Serve as the functional back up for our Production Planner
- Learn and perform additional Inventory Control duties such as receiving, cycle counting, pulling parts for sales orders or work orders, etc..
- 2-3 years of production planning experience
- 2-3 years of working with ERP software,
- Knowledge of production processes and Inventory Control
- Experience using Business Central and Shop Floor is a plus
- Highly organized, able to manage priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously with a high attention to detail
- Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of employees
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
