Role Description

We are seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of Bountiful, UT, with the opportunity for some remote work depending on business needs.

This role focuses on strategic tax preparation, compliance, and planning for individuals, businesses, and investors. The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys working closely with clients and team members, is excited about saving people money, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional experience for everyone involved.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage tax preparation, planning, and compliance processes for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and implement tax-saving strategies tailored to each client.
• Stay up-to-date on tax laws and industry developments to ensure compliance and optimize outcomes.
• Review and approve complex tax returns while mentoring junior staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing proactive and responsive communication.
• Utilize cutting-edge software to streamline processes and deliver efficient, accurate results.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in tax planning, compliance, and preparation.
• Deep knowledge of tax laws and regulations and desire to learn.
• Proven ability to analyze and solve simple to complex tax issues (or at least be willing to figure things out).
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We want you to love working with the team!
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Leadership or management experience in a tax-related role is preferred but not required.
