What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Nurse Practitioner position at Ben Archer Health Center?
Essential Job Functions:
- The CFNP, CNM will provide health care within the health center.
- Clinical patients have a wide variety of needs, including not limited to, medical, minor, surgical, gynecological, obstetrical, pediatric, psychiatric, counseling and family planning services.
- The CFNP, CNM will address and treat all of these within the limits of practice and education as a CFNP, CNM and will seek or refer for consultation as appropriate.
- Will participate with other staff members and provide medical/nursing direction on projects that are approved by the Board of Directors.
- Will participate in implementing a realistic quality review system and help performance improvement committee to implement various facts of the program.
- Will be responsible for continuing education units.
- Will be expected to maintain an open working relationship with Ben Archer Health Center staff director and Board of Directors.
- Will follow guidelines set in place by governing bodies, the State of New Mexico Nursing Practice Act and the NM Health Department. Documents are available for review.
- Supports EEO and PI policies and established standards of Ben Archer Health Center.
- Works in culturally sensitive and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
