As a Reliability Engineer you will provide technical support to improve fixed equipment reliability with a heavy focus on Mechanical Integrity Programs to comply with company and OSHA PSM standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to develop and implement solutions to plant issues.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and standards, company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation.
- Ability to monitor and maintain budgets / costs on projects.
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods.
- Knowledge of tank, vessel, and pipe design and inspection codes.
- Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.
- Skilled in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods within all levels of the organization.
- Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes.
- Ability to cross-train in other department duties to ensure efficient coverage department responsibilities.
- Ability to work with others to accomplish challenging assignments.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements.
- Ability to work additional hours as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Knowledge of project management and non-destructive testing management preferred.
- Skills in engineering and CMMS programs (i.e., CAD, SAP, PCMS) preferred.
- Knowledge of damage mechanisms affecting fixed equipment within ethanol production, oil refining, or similar processes preferred.
- Knowledge of welding processes preferred.
