Ben Bridge Jeweler's corporate office in Downtown Seattle is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team.
Job Summary:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will primarily focus on fostering positive employee relations within the organization. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor for employee relations, overseeing talent management initiatives, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations. The HRBP will collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with business objectives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations - Address employee complaints/concerns, conduct investigations, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Communicate HR policies and procedures to employees and provide guidance on employment-related issues.
- Leave Administration - Oversees leaves processes, including FMLA, and other types of leave. Ensure accurate tracking and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Communicates associates on leave to Payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Support Performance Management. Assist in the development, implementation and administration of the performance management program.
- Collaborate with Sr HR Manager on the implementation of a new benefits program module within our HRIS. Support the ongoing administration of benefits. Partner and assist in the efforts to implement additional modules within our HRIS.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Prepare comprehensive HR reports and conduct data analysis to inform decision-making.
- Administers Workers Compensation program adhering to OSHA requirements. Participates as a supporting member of the Safety Committee.
- Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll administration in the absence of the primary payroll manager.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.
- 4 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner with a focus on Employee Relations or related discipline.
- 4 years' experience in employee investigations.
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
- Proficiency with broad suite of technology but not limited to HRIS systems and cloud-based vendor platforms. Experience with UKG is a plus.
- Experience in leave management.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues
- Capability to analyze data and generate reports
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Intermediate knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
- Multi-state experience is desired
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Working Standards:
- Hybrid schedule, will be required to work on site in office 3 days a week, or on assigned days
- Occasional travel may be required
Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
