Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.• Stuffs, hangs, and weighs sausage.• Applies casing and bag over stuffing horn, clips bag and/or ties bag for different products.• Weighs product on scales in tray or boxes and attaches label to boxes or package. • Perform all duties accurately and efficiently.• Responsible for housekeeping, cleanliness, and sanitary conditions within the department.• Follow policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.• Reports any process or equipment problems to supervisor.• Acquire and retain thorough knowledge of packaging processes and equipment.• Ensure quality of products is maintained.• Verifies correct label, weight, and date information on products that you are working with.• Work safely under all conditions and procedures.• Report work-related injuries and illnesses immediately to supervisor.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
