Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and homeowners
- Provide expert product recommendations and technical guidance on building materials
- Generate sales by proactively engaging with customers and identifying their needs
- Prepare quotes, bids, and proposals for commercial and residential projects
- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and new building materials
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate sales records and reports
- Attend trade shows, manufacturer training, and networking events to enhance industry expertise
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in building materials sales (lumber, hardware, and construction supplies)
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial construction materials
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to generate leads and close sales
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
