Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate estimates for lumber, building materials, and other construction supplies based on blueprints and project specifications.
• Analyze residential and commercial construction plans to determine material requirements and costs.
• Work closely with contractors, architects, and project managers to provide detailed pricing and product recommendations.
• Source cost-effective materials while maintaining quality and meeting customer expectations.
• Utilize estimating software and lumber takeoff programs to ensure precise calculations.
• Assist the sales team with product selection, availability, and order fulfillment.
• Stay up to date with market trends, pricing changes, and supplier options to optimize estimates.
• Collaborate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service by advising clients on the best material options for their projects.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an estimator in the building materials or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial building materials, including lumber, roofing, drywall, insulation, and hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Experience with estimating software, construction takeoff programs, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in calculations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with contractors and vendors.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• No specific licenses required, but relevant certifications are a plus.

Schedule & Work Location:

• Full-Time Position
• Monday – Friday (Weekends will be required every 2-3 weeks)
• On-Site in Marlette, MI
