Steel Drafter/Detailer

Do you have experience drawing stairs and railings in the building construction market? Experience with metal and steel drafting? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you to join our On-Site Detailing team as a Drafter!

As a Drafter

You will be responsible for drawing rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data using Telka 3-D Modeling Software.

Hours

Our detailing team schedule is Monday thru Friday, during daytime office hours - between 6am and 6pm (3pm on Fridays).

We offer flexibility with starting and ending times each day as long as you get your 40 hours each week, so you can find a routine that works best for you!

Pay Rate

Starting between $27.00-$32.00 per hour based on experience.

This is an in-office position

Job Duties

• Build a model using 3-D modeling software and generate shop drawings for fabrication and field drawings for erection
• Request necessary answers to missing information
• Take full responsibility for all aspects of projects you are involved with
• Detail and/or check all project complexities and work through building conditions accurately
• Keep up to date with software updates and training
  
  

Requirements

• Tekla experience is a must, 5 years preferred
• Internal or external CAD qualified training program
• Proficient computer Skills
• Previous CAD Drafter experience working with Structural or Miscellaneous metals
