Job Description
The Structural Welder position is a key part of our fabrication process where you will primarily be responsible for fitting steel parts, tacking, or welding parts to beams, columns, trusses, and other structural building components.
- Review shop drawings and interpret them to determine weld requirements
- Surface preparation prior to and after welding (sand, grind, wire brush, degrease, etc.)
- Set up and operate welding equipment
- Conduct GMAW-pulse (MIG) welding in the flat and horizontal positions, on mild steel components
- Frequent lifting of 50-100 lbs
- Frequent and safe use of overhead crane expected
