The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the complete direction, supervision and management of warehouse operations, including sales, customer service, profit & loss, inventory management, and facility management. The Warehouse Manager will maintain high levels of accuracy in day-to-day operations, lead and develop the warehouse team and provide impeccable customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure an efficient warehouse operation to fulfill operational and customer demand.
- Work effectively with other departments to ensure coordination of sales, inventory, purchasing and distribution.
- Maintain inventory accuracy within the warehouse operations. Investigate and implement corrective actions for inventory discrepancies.
- Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of delivery, handling and disposition of materials.
- Work in conjunction with the Corporate Credit Department to track and manage accounts to keep receivables current.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Recruit, manage, and evaluate warehouse personnel for optimum performance.
- Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times.
Skills Required:
- Successful management experience including but not limited to: leadership and motivational ability, time management and organizational skills, training, coaching and counseling.
- Mathematical and analytical skills necessary to budget, forecast and evaluate warehouse performance.
- Commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse customer base.
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures, equipment maintenance, and warehouse best practices
- Proven successful management of material handling
- High level of professional integrity and customer service
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Job Requirements: Lifting and/or moving tires weighing between 10 - 50 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance. Operate forklift as required with proper certification.
- Environment is very hot during summer months and cold during winter months.
- Frequent bending, twisting and lifting.
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or Logistic, or Associates degree in business and/or requisite experience
