What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Bench Animal Hospital?
Looking to add a full time veterinary technician to our 2 doctor family practice. Experience preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing vitals on our patients
- Performing blood draws on our patients
- IV catheter placement/venipuncture
- Set up/monitor anesthesia
- Laboratory duties including running blood chemistries, CBC, urinalysis, etc.
- Knowledge of common medications and precautions when dispensing for at home use
- Assisting colleagues with animal restraint for exams/x-rays/blood draws
- Assisting doctors with examinations, surgeries, and sedations
Offering $19/hr depending on experience/credentials. Some weekend/holiday coverage needed on occasion. PTO and employee discount on services/products provided. Health insurance benefit and 401K provided.
