Benchmark Companies is seeking a qualified applicant to join our growing team as a Site Lead in our Field Operations Division. This position is the quintessential “leadership from the front” for our land clearing crews. This division of our company is responsible for clearing land for industrial and residential development in the greater Middle Tennessee area. A Field Operations Site Lead is a field level working management position that plays a critical role in driving and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity in the field. All employees are expected to carry out the company’s mission, vision, and values.
As a Field Operations Site Lead at Benchmark Companies, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:
- Train and strictly enforce all safety procedures and policies.
- Ensure work is performed to the level of quality required to completely satisfy each customer.
- Oversee training and development of staff assigned to projects you lead
- Identify and work to improve lower level performing crew members.
- Challenge the established job plans periodically and continuously improve the plans.
- Identify low performing jobs and re-plan the work to improve performance.
- Act as a liaison between field staff and the administrative, customer service, and general management functions.
- Perform any other duties as assigned including the operation of heavy equipment in order to complete the project scope as assigned.
