Summary:
The Industrial Engineering Technician supports the Engineering Department in planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrated, production and service delivery systems. The Industrial Engineering Tech works under the direction of the Engineering lead to assure accurate time standards and schedule adherence, improve overall labor effectiveness, and cost control within the site's production environment. The Industrial Engineering Technician assists in layout and process changes to production and entering data in Industrial Engineering and Production Feedback System (PFS) systems.
Responsibilities:
* Updates time standards and routes in database and PFS
* Assists in preparation for line installations and reconfigurations to support new product, customer or process changes.
* Updates/Creates work instructions and visual aids as directed by the responsible area engineer.
* Orders, receives and validates production tooling, fixtures, equipment and workstations as directed by the Engineering lead.
* Creates Process instructions including Visual Aids, Checklists, and ISO procedures.
* Under the direction of engineering lead, prepares time studies for current products and estimates for proposed products.
* Proactively participates in site Lean engagement and activities.
* Supports Lean through maintenance of process foundations and data integrity to support and drive continuous improvement activities.
* Assures standardization of Benchmark processes throughout the site in accordance with global, regional and site policies and procedures.
* Monitors and reduces scrap created at manual processes by monitoring quality data and taking corrective action to reduce or eliminating root cause.
* Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
* Complies and follow all company security policies and procedures.
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

* Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities.

* Assist with line design and change activities.

Qualifications:
* 2-year technical degree in Industrial Engineering or closely related field preferred
* 1-year work experience in related field or combination of experience and education
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required
* Effective organization and prioritization skills
* Demonstrate high attention to detail
* Ability to work with diverse groups
