What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Clerk position at Benchmark Family Services?
Title: Account Clerk I
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Maintain computer-based management information system and a filing system that supports effective operations.
2. Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable invoices; reconciliation of database tracking system to accounting system.
3. Ensure company policies are maintained in the use of the credit cards and requests for payments to employees and contractors.
4. Log accounts receivable and process bank deposits in an accurate and timely manner.
5. Assist in clerical/administrative support duties as indicated.
6. Work closely with the Account Clerk II/Senior Account Clerk/Accounting Supervisor for resolution of discrepancies.
7. Assist with other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Education, Knowledge, Skills:
1. Education: High school graduate with preparation in administrative support. Related college coursework preferred.
2. Experience: One year preferred.
3. Knowledge:
- Word Processing
- Fiscal Management
- Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Organizational Skills
- Desk-Top Publishing Skills
- Knowledge of software applications and operations.
- Sage Intacct experience preferred
- This role requires a considerable amount of work in Excel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
