The Commercial Insurance Salesperson (or Account Executive) is responsible for growing and maximizing profitable relationships with clients through new client sales.
Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and referrals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their insurance needs.
Present and explain commercial insurance policies including property, liability, workers compensation and business interruption coverage.
Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise and answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
Provide customized insurance solutions that meet client’s needs.
Maintain accurate client records and documentation in our management system.
Qualifications
Proven sales experience in commercial insurance.
Excellent Communication skills.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, underwriting guidelines and industry regulations.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Hold a state insurance license and have a minimum of five years of commercial insurance experience.
Possess a valid driver’s license and a source of reliable transportation.
Have experience working as a team with other insurance professionals.
Have excellent time management skills, thrive in a team environment, and have technology and computer proficiency including agency management systems.
Experience with AMS 360 from Vertafore or similar Insurance Agency Management Systems.
