Job Summary:

As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for leading financial planning, analysis, and reporting across our insurance brokerage, construction company, and real estate portfolio. This position requires a visionary leader who can streamline financial operations, provide actionable insights, and collaborate across teams to support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in multi-entity financial management, an understanding of industry-specific challenges, and a proven ability to drive efficiencies and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the overall goals of the organization.
  • Conduct in-depth financial forecasting, budgeting, and risk analysis for each business unit.
  • Identify growth opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations to executive leadership.

Accounting and Reporting

  • Oversee consolidated financial reporting for all entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Establish and maintain accounting standards, policies, and procedures across the organization.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and ensure proper reconciliation.

Operational Oversight

  • Lead financial operations for the insurance brokerage, including premium accounting, carrier payables, and commission tracking.
  • Supervise financial management in the construction company, including job costing, cash flow management, and project accounting.
  • Oversee real estate portfolio finances, including property budgeting, asset valuation, and performance analysis.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
  • Identify potential financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory requirements specific to each industry.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals across business units.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with operational strategies.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the finance function.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 8 years in a senior finance role, ideally managing multi-entity organizations.
  • Industry experience in insurance, construction, or real estate is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices and regulations.
  • Leadership Skills:
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
