Job Summary: The Construction Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks on construction sites. These duties include manual labor, operating excavation equipment, site preparation, and ensuring that the jobsite remains safe and organized. A valid CDL is required for certain tasks, such as moving equipment and assisting with material hauling. (CDL is not required for employment.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, cleaning, and maintenance of construction sites.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Transport materials and equipment using vehicles requiring a CDL, if applicable.
- Dig trenches, move soil, and assist with other earth-moving tasks.
- Mix and pour concrete, mortar, and other materials.
- Perform site cleanup by removing debris, ensuring the area is organized and safe.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools (if trained).
- Follow instructions from the foreman or supervisor and work as part of a team.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and practices on the jobsite.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in work areas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is preferred but not required for employment.
- Previous experience in construction or manual labor (preferred but not required).
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.
- Strong attention to safety and adherence to workplace safety protocols.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
