Overview
The Egnineering Manager supports the Director of Engineering
Skills
- Ability to anticipate guest needs; respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.
- Able to perform general maintenance and repairs in guestrooms and public areas including proper preparation techniques, for all paint types and surfaces. Various types of walls, ceiling and structural repairs. Build, construct walls, cabinets, tables, shelving, and structural framing and finish carpentry work
- Knowledge of pool chemistry and ability to chemically balance pool (CPO certification is a plus)
- Knowledge of Chiller and cooling tower
- Knowledge of Hostos
- Ensure familiarity with all hotel services and features.
- General knowledge of renovation practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of types of paints, finishes, adhesives, epoxies, etc.., to include its uses, procedures, and preparation techniques.
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience:
- 5 years of Hospitality Engineering/Facilities Experience
- 2 years or more supervising/ managing Skills or Technical Experience in Plumbing, Electrical or HVAC
