Summer Camp Recreation Counselor

Job Description :
Benchmark Camp is a 5-week day camp providing academics and recreation. We serve bright children in grades 1 through 6 who have dyslexia, ADD / ADHD, or other language-based learning differences along with students who need additional help in language arts. Benchmark Camp is looking for an energetic and attentive Recreation Counselor. The Recreation Counselor accomplishes the objectives of the camp by supporting and facilitating activities under the direction of the Recreation Program Director.
Benchmark Camp is in session from June 30, 2025 - August 1, 2025 (closed on July 4). Counselors are expected to be on campus from 7 : 45 a.m. until 4 : 15 p.m. when camp is in session. In-service is required June 23-27, 2025 more details to come.
Qualifications :
- High school Juniors and above
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn and enforce the camp's safety and operating rules
- Must pass reference checks and background screenings, which include fingerprint check and sex offender registry check
