What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Benchmark Search?
We’ve been exclusively retained to identify a seasoned Controller to lead accounting operations across North America. This high-impact leadership role will focus on multi-entity oversight, cross-border coordination, and team development in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee consolidated financial reporting and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and local regulations
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes across North America including Mexico
- Manage audits, tax filings, and internal controls
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Deliver financial insights to support executive decision-making
- Enhance accounting systems and operational processes
- Develop and lead regional accounting teams
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership
Qualifications:
- Accounting Degree.
- CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- 10 years of experience in accounting leadership roles.
- Experience overseeing accounting functions for Mexico operations.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-entity consolidation.
- Familiarity with NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
