The Director of Resident Services maintains responsibility for providing services to our current and future residents moving into Edgehill, prior to and following move-in. This role serves as the liaison between residents and the Resident Services Department. Supervises the Director of Facility Operations, Security Supervisor and Recreation Coordinator. Responsibilities include the daily delivery of services with the Resident Care Director and programs including resident and family satisfaction. The program’s goal is to provide an environment that maintains each resident’s highest level of physical, social, and psychological well-being.
Responsibilities
Makes all residents, whether new move-ins or those who are already established, feel at home and lets them know there is someone who can and will help them with any queries or problems they may have.
Maintains a high visibility in the community by mingling with the residents at meal times, during social events and monthly resident meetings.
Ensures that all resident concerns and problems are relayed to the proper department and follow up to ensure finalization.
Follows-up after the move-in by orienting the new resident to the Community.
Inspects and makes ready all apartments prior to occupancy by residents
Provides ongoing communication with residents and, as necessary, family members
Coordinate set-up of volunteer committees; provides ongoing support in scheduling meetings of volunteer committees/roundtable luncheons.

Attends Hospitality Committee meetings. Creates announcements for new arrivals for each building; current ill and/or hospitalized residents and purchases welcome gift supplies, etc.
Makes name plates for apartment doors.
Attends monthly Birthday/Anniversary resident parties and Newcomers Wine and Cheese Reception. Assists in event marketing.
Maintains a Resident Profile database. Advises residents of community resources and professional services.
Requirements
Minimum bachelor’s degree
One to three years’ experience preferred in a CCRC, long term care or experience/exposure to the senior population.
One year supervisory and management experience which may include volunteer and staff recruitment, coordination and training, coaching, performance management, responsibility of daily department operations.
