Controller/Accounting
Position Description/Summary:
Controller will be reporting to the Executive Committee and Ownership, is primarily responsible for managing all accounting procedures and operations, as well as, providing strategic guidance to further develop as a financially sound organization by implementing the infrastructure and systems needed to support goals and objectives as outlined by ownership framework.
Responsibilities:
1. Controller/Accounting
a. Ensure financial integrity and accountability by maintaining internal controls and oversee accounting transactions and ensure financial decisions adhere to defined financial guidelines.
b. Generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
c. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”).
d. Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all divisions and markets, and oversee all financial accounting.
e. Coordinate and lead the annual process for banking, tax returns, audits, etc.
f. Oversee and lead the budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes; and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.
g. Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
h. Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/ reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements.
i. Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices;
j. Oversee payments of all accounts, ensuring all accounts are paid on time, process accounts and collecting payments,
Qualifications
- Controller and Accounting expertise
- Experience with data analysis and financial forecasting
- Knowledge of relevant local and federal laws in both accounting.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Quickbooks, Video Conferencing, Google Workspaces, etc.
- Successful track record in previous positions of employment
- Excellent communication, leadership, and people skills
- Inventory management
Education
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, etc)
- Professional certifications preferred (CPA, etc.)
Experience
- 5 years professional experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
