Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinetry & Millwork Painter/Stainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience using HVLP and airless sprayers, applying stains to various hardwoods and plywoods, and performing surface prep for high-quality finishes. You will play a key role in ensuring that cabinetry and millwork items meet our high standards for both residential and commercial projects.
Duties
- Spray HVLP paint on cabinetry, millwork items, and other wooden components.
- Apply stain to different types of hardwoods and plywood, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Sand and prep surfaces effectively before painting and staining to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality.
- Inspect completed work for any imperfections, scratches, or blemishes, and take corrective action when necessary.
- Maintain clear communication with the supervisor regarding project progress, upcoming tasks, and any concerns.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe, adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Support in the maintenance and care of all equipment, including sprayers, sanders, and other painting tools.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in painting and staining, particularly on cabinetry and millwork.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to inspect and correct imperfections in finished items.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills:
- Experience with both airless and HVLP systems
- Prior experience in staining for residential or commercial clients.
- Extensive knowledge of the staining process, including application techniques and wood types.
Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
