Summary:
Manufacturing/Process Engineering Internship with emphasis on precision machining and assembly process for new products. This opportunity is temporary employment for engineering or robotics students who are seeking an internship in a manufacturing facility. This is a paid internship for 40 hours (except holidays) and begins in April/May 2025 and continues onto the fall and spring semesters. This internship is located in Concord, CA and will require 100% on site attendance. Flexible schedules are available during the school year.
Focus on manufacturing and documentation of process for customer product, resulting in a product that supports the manufacturing environment, if applicable, to meet both the customers’ requirements and the internal manufacturing requirements.
The ideal candidate would be a self-motivated engineering student who is ready for a challenging internship in a fast-paced, high mix contract machining and manufacturing environment.

Skills Required:
- Interpret and follow engineering drawings and technical documents
- Analyze complex instructions to assess for flaws/clarity
- Utilize hand/power and precision CNC and assembly tools
- Assist in the assembly and machining of prototypes
- Participate in implementation of customer design requirements
- Aid in development of manufacturing processes for New Product Introduction (NPI), Sustaining Engineering, and CNC Programming.
- Aid in development and execution of product build instructions
- Collaborate with engineering peers on early prototype manufacturing
- Collaborate with engineering peers on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews for design enhancement
- Verify completed work, checking dimensions, materials to be used and quantities per the verification plan
- General understanding of manufacturing engineering
- CAD SolidWorks
- CAM MasterCAM
- Mechanical Drawing
- Basic Assembly and use of Hand Tools
