Your New Role At Bend Bioscience
In this role, you will will perform administration and support activities for laboratory GxP computer systems in accordance with regulatory requirements (GxP, Part 11, DEA, etc.) as well as managing computer system implementation and validation projects including the development and execution of computer system validation protocols and procedures.
Essential Functions (other Duties May Be Assigned)
Generally, five to eight (5-8) years of experience supporting lab systems in a GxP environment with a Bachelor's degree in a Technology discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemistry, etc.). Significant relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

Your New Role At Bend Bioscience
In this role, you will will perform administration and support activities for laboratory GxP computer systems in accordance with regulatory requirements (GxP, Part 11, DEA, etc.) as well as managing computer system implementation and validation projects including the development and execution of computer system validation protocols and procedures.
Essential Functions (other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Provides timely direct support on the technical-based needs of the end-user community with emphasis on the IT systems for which he/she is directly responsible, and supports other site systems as required, including:
- Collaborating with users when required for problem determination and to ensure smooth delivery of support services
- Developing and revising operating procedures for systems where required
- Performing system administration and maintenance activities, updates, and changes
- Recording problem resolution in incident reports for tracking and trending
- Performing periodic reviews of computer systems per company procedures
- Develops and executes computer validation strategies including the development and review of computer validation documents such as user requirements specifications, validation plans, function and design specifications, testing protocols, risk assessments, and validation summary reports.
- Leads computer system implementation and validation projects with the ability to manage multiple projects varying in complexity including:
- Applying site’s system development lifecycle and project management methodologies
- Creating project work plans using project management tools
- Identifying resource and budget needs
- Managing the project tasks and resources to meet the project schedule and deadlines
- Managing project budgets, project team members
- Managing external resources and vendor relationships
- Assigning tasks to team members and motivating team members to complete tasks on time
- Tracking project progress using project management tools
- Facilitating regular project team meetings
- Facilitating regular project stakeholder meetings
- Communicating project status to IT management and the business
- Identifying, communicating, and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Builds relationships with system owners and communicates business requirements back to IT management. Makes recommendations and implements improvements with customer involvement.
- Influences, listens & values/recognizes all opinions, and represents IT in a diplomatic way facilitating open discussion and collaboration across all functions.
- Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis.
