General Summary
Prepare site plan drawings to include retail, office, warehouse, hotel and residential projects. Coordinate with various internal departments and assist outside civil engineers. Review and incorporate municipal code requirements and internal building constraints.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare proposed site layout plans for new and existing commercial properties incorporating municipal code requirements from information provided to include sketches, tax maps, as-built surveys, aerial mapping, and municipal GIS data.
- Prepare architectural plans for hardscape and site amenity designs. Assist in the generation of building façade and various design projects through Sketchup and other modeling programs.
- Prepare colored presentation plans for use by the management team in presenting projects, including issues of permitting and town codes. Assist in resolving issues with construction issues such as surveying, engineering, and environmental issues.
- Update tenant information on site plans. Maximize square footage on-site drawings based on information provided by right to build, design, leasing team.
- Analyze various design requirements including landscape buffers, building setbacks, and recommend possible solutions or alternate construction.
- Make changes for all site plan revisions at the request of leasing, construction personnel, and executives. Review aerial or site drawings and prepare site plans for retail, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Perform field visits to evaluate sites for conceptual planning from time to time.
- Evaluate zoning, and environmental code requirements with other departments to ensure adherence to codes and regulations.
- Upon request, assist in the completion of dimension control plans.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum 1 (one) plus years experience in preparing site plans and engineering drawings for commercial/retail buildings. 2-year degree preferred.
- Experience AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Sketchup required. Experience in CorelDRAW 2020, Google Earth Pro, and Nearmap preferred.
