What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior AS400 COBOL Programmer position at Benecard Services, Inc.?
We are seeking a seasoned AS / 400 COBOL Programmer with a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications on the AS / 400 platform to assist us with the development and maintenance of our Vision Benefit Application and core business processes.
Responsibilities :
- Maintenance and enhancement of the Vision Benefit application.
- Evaluate user requests and document the functional specifications.
- Develop the required functionality through the entire SDLC (Coding, Unit testing, QA testing, Documentation, Implementation, User training).
- Assist in QA testing if questions or negative results occur.
- Accurately monitor and reconcile monthly production processes.
- Develop customized reporting and or extracts as requested by clients & internal users.
- Prepare documentation describing design, coding, and comprehensive testing scenarios.
- Provide off-hours support for releases as needed.
- Troubleshoot production related issues.
