Additionally, the IT Security Engineer I will participate in IT projects, and other tasks as required, to add value to the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Additionally, the IT Security Engineer I will participate in IT projects, and other tasks as required, to add value to the organization.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- This position will take the lead for image, OS, and system hardening, and incident response.
- Provide quality technical support services and customer service on a consistent basis.
- Troubleshoot a variety of computer, peripheral, and security related software and hardware issues (firmware updates).
- Provide and apply accurate and efficient technical and practical solutions to solve customer issues.
- Document detailed and accurate technical notes regarding each customer issue, and steps taken to resolve it throughout the customer contact; ensuring completion before ending the contact.
- Consistently meet goals and service levels for customer service, technical quality, first call resolution, and efficiency.
- Keep abreast of current cyber security news and events.
- Onsite datacenter access is essential for this role. Therefore, datacenter access is authorized for this position.
- Remote technical support (10%).
Requirements
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to sit or stand and type utilizing computer for up to 90% of the workday.
- Must be able to operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems.
- Must be able to talk on the phone.
- Must be able to carry documents and bend and stoop to file.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Computer related field is required but Cyber Security is preferred.
- Knowledge of Malware prevention, detection and remediation processes required.
- Security and ITIL certifications are required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a Desktop support role is required.
- Minimum of two years of experience with Cyber Security is required.
- Must understand basic computer networking; wired, wireless, knowledge of routing, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP.
- Must understand Microsoft Active Directory and M365.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Operating Systems, specifically Microsoft Windows 10/11, Chromium, and Ubuntu and other flavors of Linux is required.
- Must be able to understand and troubleshoot mobile operating systems such as Android and iOS.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written format is required.
- Excellent logical skills and problem solving is required.
- Advanced knowledge of scripting, to include but not limited to PowerShell is required.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communications with employees at all levels within the organization is required.
- Ability to continually learn, be trained and accept constructive feedback required.
- Must be able to successfully manage a consistent volume of phone calls, emails, and chats.
- Requires the ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects concurrently as well as the ability to shift priorities as needed.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks is required.
