POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Director assists in the planning and execution of the activities of Benedictine College’s centers and assists the Director of Extension Programs in the centers’ operational and outreach functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Assistant Director of Extension Programs will assist the Director of Extension Programs by coordinating with various departments of the College on behalf of the Centers including:
Provide support to Director of Extension Programs
- Assisting with processing payments and coding receipts and other clerical duties
- Assisting with the fellows’ programs, including booking and preparing spaces for meetings and managing rosters and communications
- Reserving spaces on campus for center events including, but not limited to speakers, meetings, and conferences
- Hosting and attending center events, ensuring that the events run smoothly and that guests of the College are received hospitably
- Manage reporting processes for various center events
Provide support and resources to Center directors
- Assisting with scheduling speakers and fundraising events, coordinating with the President’s Office and Advancement office.
- Identifying internship opportunities, coordinating with the Director of Career Services.
- Coordinates administrative requests and needs with the Centers’ directors for the efficient operation of the Centers.
- Provides administrative support related to budgeting, scheduling, processing, and event planning.
Communication and autonomy
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and ability to cultivate meaningful connections with diverse faculty, staff, student, parent, and community partners
- Ability to work collaboratively with the events and catering staffs to successfully host Center events
- Meet face to face, commnicate via phone and via email, with students, colleagues, and others, to learn about the work of the Centers.
- Identify compelling stories and draft language for articles and marketing pieces regarding the Centers and Transforming Culture in America
- Assist in drafting communications about various events of the Centers, both for on- and off-campus audiences
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience
Applicants for this position should have a minimum of three years, post-college, experience in office management or higher education experience in student services or related field.
