What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machining Center Programmer position at Beneficial Talent Source?

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Develops programs and fixturing for Haas Mills, Haas Lathes, Bridgeport type mills, and other manual machine centers (Drill press, band saw, etc.).
Partners with Engineering to design and build fixtures.
Coaches / instructs machine operators in proper set-up and run procedures for new parts.
Creates machine set-up sheet instructions including tool lengths and work offsets.
Responsible for machining parts to print, adjusting tool offsets and checking own work.

QUALIFICATIONS :

5-7 years of Machine Shop experience preferred

Technical School certificate / degree preferred.

Experience programming or using the following technologies :

C” axis and live tooling on HAAS CNC Lathes

Haas controls and G & M codes.

GibbsCam programming software.

AutoDesk Vault drafting software.

Mill's “A” axis a plus.

Must be able to read, follow and understand blueprints, methods and procedural instructions.

Ability to identify common raw materials, proper tooling and work-holding devices

Competent with typical measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, and edge finders).

Must be able to stand for long periods in a fast paced shop environment.

Regularly required to stand, bend and reach and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
