About the Job :
We’re looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Manchester, CT. This is a first-shift position with great pay and the chance to use your skills in a dynamic environment. If you enjoy troubleshooting, repairing, and keeping equipment running smoothly, this might be the perfect fit for you!
What You’ll Do :
Keep production equipment running smoothly by performing maintenance, repairs, and adjustments.
Troubleshoot and fix electrical and mechanical issues on machines and equipment.
Work on various machinery like die cutters, presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, and bindery equipment.
Use tools like welders, lathes, milling machines, and other shop equipment to repair or reproduce parts when needed.
Read and interpret diagrams, sketches, manuals, and specifications to get the job done right.
What You Need to Succeed :
Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment and machinery.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems – you know how to tell one issue from another.
A keen eye for detail to make precise adjustments, alignments, and measurements.
The ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications to identify and fix problems.
Advanced skills in constructing and assembling complex parts, including knowledge of geometry and shop math to calculate fits, angles, and more.
Comfort using various tools and machines, from welders to precision measuring instruments.
