Responsible for scheduling all appropriate pre-operative appointments, tests, treatments, and procedures as directed by physician order or protocol. Works collaboratively with management to ensure quality control processes on all schedules is maintained by schedulers. Support team members to ensure timely and accurate scheduling processes are achieved consistently by all schedulers. Collaborating with leadership to identify staffing needs and scheduling is sufficient for operational needs. Responsible for providing leadership and coordinating services to patients and staff. Interacts independently with Physicians to maximize scheduling opportunities and maintain call schedule as directed by provider.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.
Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health system organization policies and procedures.
Education/License/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience involving patient and provider interaction
- Minimum two (2) years Scheduling experience required
- Experience across the continuum of care preferred
- Knowledgeable of medical terminology
