Summary/Objective This role serves as customer support to members and medical providers. The Claims Coordinator is responsible for supporting the customer by providing excellent customer service and claims management to members and medical providers. They contribute to operational success and directly affect our ability to meet key objectives and deliverables.

BAS is seeking a Claims Coordinator to provide superb customer service and claims management to members and medical providers.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in a medical clinic setting with claims processing experience or experience in a related field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical billing terminology and codes is preferred.
  • Superior customer service skills including a sense of urgency and ownership for resolving client issues.
  • Strong organization and analytical abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Products (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time on-site position. Days and hours of work are 8 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Thursday and 8 am - 3:30 pm on Fridays.
