VP, Sales Americas

Mission : As Vice President Sales, you will lead Groq’s America’s sales organization, driving strategy and execution to expand our market presence and establish long-term relationships customers across our enterprise and commercial segments. You will play a pivotal role in defining how enterprises adopt GroqCloud, building a team of high-performing sales professionals, and shaping the future of AI.

Responsibilities & opportunities in this role :

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with Groq’s business goals and accelerates revenue growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and success.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers.
  • Drive large-scale, complex deal negotiations while ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for Groq and its customers.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and Groq’s product offerings.
  • Establish and maintain sales metrics, forecasts, and reporting systems to ensure visibility into the performance and pipeline health of the enterprise sales organization.
  • Identify market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to influence product and go-to-market strategies.
  • Act as a thought leader and brand ambassador, representing Groq at industry events, conferences, and with strategic partners.

Ideal candidates have / are :

  • 15 years of experience in enterprise sales, with at least 5 years in a VP sales leadership role.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and scaling sales organizations in the technology or AI space.
  • Expertise in selling complex technology solutions to enterprise customers, with a focus on AI, cloud computing, or high-performance hardware / software solutions.
  • Strong strategic acumen and ability to execute, balancing long-term vision with short-term priorities.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience building and leading high-performing, geographically dispersed sales teams.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to forecast accurately and manage a sales P&L.
  • Results-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

    Compensation : At Groq, a competitive base salary is part of our comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is $222,700 to $419,290, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience and internal benchmarks.

    Location : Groq is a geo-agnostic company, meaning you work where you are. Exceptional candidates will thrive in asynchronous partnerships and remote collaboration methods. Some roles may require being located near our primary sites, as indicated in the job description.
