INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an instructional designer to join our Learning and Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the creation, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of online self-paced training projects for our associates. Collaboration with internal departments, subject matter experts, and additional stakeholders across the organization will be required. Our ideal candidate has proficient understanding and experience with organizational training, eLearning development software, instructional design principles, and technical writing. Ability to write effective instructional text, audio and video scripts. Top-notch project management skills, technical writing skills and a passion for continuous learning are also needed to succeed in this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, analyze and prioritize learning/training needs per assigned project.
- Perform job, task, and culture analyses and work with managers to understand requirements and addressable gaps.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and department leaders to design and develop high quality, effective, and engaging learning/training content.
- Create high-quality, thorough and engaging accompanying supplemental learning tools such as job aids and user/participant guides.
- Conduct both classroom and/or virtual train-the-trainer sessions when necessary.
- Assist as needed in the implementation of classroom instructor-led, online, and blended training courses.
- Evaluate existing company training and make recommendations for revisions and enhancements
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Education – Bachelors degree (strongly preferred) and at least 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience – Medicare and/or Medicaid knowledge preferred but not required. Experience and proficiency with learning authoring tools such as Camtasia Studio, and Articulate 360. Proficient with MS Office Suite, and Learning Management Systems. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Language Skills – Excellent written, oral, communication and presentation skills. Superior interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Reasoning Ability – Solid research skills and instructional savvy to create clear and effective instructional content. Ability to provide creative support in design and development of materials. Experience developing training materials.
