Benesch is proud to announce the opening for a Law School Recruiting Specialist in our Chicago office! This position is hybrid and has work from home flexibility.

Position Summary:

The Law School Recruiting Specialist is responsible for supporting the functions of the Legal Recruiting Department as it relates to the Summer Associate Program, interview process, law school outreach, and other talent pipeline initiatives. This role is primarily responsible for scheduling, coordinating and distributing materials, and special event planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Maintains database for summer associate class.
  2. Assists the Summer Program Manager with planning and coordination of the summer program (including training programs, orientation, events, etc.).
  3. Assists with onsite coordination of the Chicago Summer Program.
  4. Supports the work assignment process as needed.
  5. Compiles mid-summer and end-of-summer evaluation packets for performance reviews.
  6. Attends summer associate events as appropriate.
  7. Responds to general questions from summer associates and attorneys about summer programs.
  8. Maintains up-to-date content on intranet related to Summer Program.
  9. Assists with off-season events, gifts, and communications for retention of summer associates, including holiday activities, exam study gifts, bar study gifts, and gifts for recognition of special achievements.
  10. Provides statistical data, as requested.
  11. Responsible for on-campus interview program and law school event registration.
  12. Prepares materials for on campus recruiting events.
  13. Assists with the coordination of law school recruiting events, including scheduling preparation and debrief sessions.
  14. Plans and manages onsite recruiting events, including planning and communicating logistical details, food ordering, and preparing recruiting materials.
  15. Administers law student event management and interview software, including FloRecruit and ViRecruit.
  16. Manages law student candidate flow and disposition within our applicant tracking software.
  17. Compiles candidate information and application materials to support application review process.
  18. Communicates with candidates and schedule screening and callback interviews for 1L Diversity Fellowship and 2L summer program.
  19. Greet candidates and manages interview schedules in the Chicago office.
  20. Monitors and manages virtual interviews; and coordinates with administrative team in other offices to manage local interviews.
  21. Prepares and distributes interview schedules and candidate materials to interview team.
  22. Compiles candidate evaluation materials for Hiring Committee meetings.
  23. Drafts offer letters.
  24. Tracks and reports law school applicant statistics.
  25. Assists with updating and maintaining various recruiting materials/forms.
  26. Communicates properly and promptly with Benesch personnel and external contacts and exhibits a high level of customer service at all times.
  27. Maintains the Firm's social media presence as it relates to the law student and law school audience, as well as updating and maintaining content the Firm's law student careers page.
  28. Aids in the completion of law school focused surveys from NALP and other industry organizations.
  29. Processes expense reimbursements and invoices.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Assists with special projects, lateral recruiting interview scheduling and other duties as needed.

Qualification

The Law School Recruiting Specialist must have a High School Diploma, bachelor's degree preferred. At least four to five years of recruiting, administrative assistant or other related experience in a professional service environment is preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be highly organized and have the ability to independently multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Must possess an excellent client service attitude as well as outstanding professionalism and communication skills to provide optimal client service. Must possess good judgment and tact, and remain poised in high- stress situations. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality is required.


The salary range for this position is $70K to $85.5K.

Please note that quoted salary ranges are based on Benesch's good faith belief at the time of the job posting and are not a guarantee of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that Benesch provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full-time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
