EDI Analyst (Remote)
Summary
The EDI Analyst will analyze data, configure, test, implement and maintain software systems to meet our client’s needs, emphasis on the 835, 837, 997 and knowledge of 5010 standards.
EDI Analyst Responsibilities
- Analyzing EDI needs, configuration, testing, debugging, documentation, modification and implementation of all EDI processes
- Initiates, communicates, and coordinates all EDI activities with trading partners
- Maintain documentation on procedures and processes
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures
- Ability to implement and troubleshoot system changes and modifications
- Ability to transform text or comma delimited files to load into any application
- Maintaining systems by identifying and correcting software defects
- Working with commercial software packages
- Assisting in creating technical specifications and test plans as requested
- Working closely with staff such as business analysts, project managers, customer service staff, other programmers, operations staff, business administrative staff, etc.
- Implementing new software into a production environment via our agreed upon change control processes.
- Should be self-directed and able to work with minimum supervision
- Programming knowledge is not required but could benefit future needs
EDI Analyst Qualifications
- Post high school education or prior medical system EDI configuration related work experience preferred.
- Background in medical claims processing, familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, ADA and ICD coding.
- Possesses analytical, organizational and detail oriented skills, system conversion/testing experience is a plus.
- 3-5 years of in-depth knowledge of EDI transactions desired.
- Ability to communicate professionally and clearly with the clients and other departments of BeneSys.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Work Schedule
Full time; Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Permanent Work From Home position.
