We are looking for a Recovery Assistant who loves working with children to join our energetic, fast-paced dental practice. The primary responsibility of the recovery room assistant is to monitor post-op patients as they recover from the surgical procedures completed on them that day. Recovery Room Assistants monitor vital signs, change bandages, administer oxygen (if required), assess overall recovery and educate patients and their families about aftercare instructions. They may be overseeing the recovery of a patient for 30 minutes to over an hour.

Working with us, you will:
- Explaining procedures and treatment completed to parents or guardians using easily understandable terms
- Reviewing post-operative instructions and answering any questions that the caregivers may have
- Maintains airway, if required
- Maintains comfort and safety of patient
- Observes patient continuously noting and recording findings and promptly notifies anesthesiologist and/or surgeon of any complications or concerns
- Takes vital signs (pulse, blood pressure, oxygen saturation) as directed by anesthesiologist and/or surgeon
- Responds to life saving situations based upon experience, training, and office policies and protocols
- Once patient dismissed, promptly and thoroughly cleans/disinfects recovery room and prepares for next patient
- Participates in quality improvement activities by discussing with anesthesiologist, surgeon and management, procedures or steps that could be taken to improve the recovery system, patient comfort and safety

- Hygienist Continuing Education- Hygienists who have completed one year of employment may seek reimbursement for continuing education courses up to $250 per year or maximum of $500 during a two-year period for full-time Hygienists
- Company provided certification trainings-These certifications include CPR certificates, Radiology certificates, Nitrous Oxide certificates, etc.
- The company will reimburse selected employees for eligible training/testing expenses required to obtain or renew the certificate
Salary : $250 - $500
