Job Summary
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Work with the Site administrator and or head coach to plan, organize, and supervise practices,
- Teach and develop skills,
- Provide constructive feedback,
- Develop and implement game strategy and position assignments,
- Prepare for competitions,
- Motivate athletes,
- Develop sportsmanship and leadership in student-athletes,
- Communicate with parents and school administration,
- Follow all CIF / NCS rules and guidelines,
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the program, as needed

Fingerprint and TB Clearance are required.
All coaches paid and volunteer will need to apply for an Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) if they do not already possess a valid document (Teaching credential or Substitute Permit) issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Information on how to apply for an ASCC will be provided by Human Resources if you are offered a position.
Clearance to coach for Benicia Unified School District includes a BUSD fingerprint fee, a California Teaching Commission fingerprint fee, a California Teaching Commission Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) fee. All fees are paid by the applicant and can cost up to $300.00.
Comments and Other Information
Fingerprint and TB Clearance will be required as conditions of employment.
Completion of mandatory training courses will also be required.
