Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide basic life support as needed and assist in emergency situations.
- Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Support nursing staff in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including Level I Trauma Centers and urgent care facilities.
- Engage with patients in a compassionate manner while providing emotional support.
- Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks.
- Participate in the care of specific populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice care, and home community care.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Experience in medical office settings or urgent care environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for providing excellent patient care across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
