Summary :

The Receptionist is responsible for presenting the first impression of Benjmain F. Edwards to our clients. Responsibilities include performing front desk duties for the branch and complete other general office duties as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Greet customers or visitors and answer incoming calls. Provide telephone assistance by directing calls, taking messages and answering general questions in an accurate and courteous manner.
  • Prepare and send outgoing mail, which may require taking mail to the post office.
  • Prepare weekly / monthly mailings of various sales materials.
  • Assist with prospecting new customers through mailings, seminars and telephoning to set up appointments.
  • Address client birthday cards and holiday cards for Financial Advisor (s)’.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy lobby area.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Excellent phone etiquette and professionalism
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills, friendly and energetic demeanor.
  • Good organizational and clerical skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Education and / or Work Experience :

  • Minimum Required : 1 year of general office experience; preferably in Financial Services
  • Licenses / Registration :

  • N / A
  • Work Environment :

    This position requires the ability to work in a stationary position for several hours at a time and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally. Some filing is required. The work environment is an air-conditioned, smoke-free, office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
