Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology (Franklin Cummings Tech) is a private, non-profit, two-year technical college located in Boston. Founded in 1908, the college proudly continues a long tradition of educating students for high-demand technical careers in a variety of industries, including automotive, advanced manufacturing, computer technology, engineering and construction management. Because of our impact and outcomes, Franklin Cummings Tech recently received the largest gift in its history : $12.5 million from the Cummings Foundation to continue to advance its leading-edge work in creating technical career pathways for students typically underrepresented in post-secondary education.
In FY22, Franklin Cummings Tech was the academic home to almost 900 learners. Half of those learners were students enrolled in traditional credit-bearing programs. The balance enrolled in a combination of continuing education and contract education programs. In the coming years, the College seeks to boost the number of students in credit-bearing courses, while also expanding continuing education and contract education so that we are educating more than 1,000 learners a year by FY25.

The Enrollment Systems Specialist serves several important purposes within the enrollment management area including front-line customer service, data entry management, management of the enrollment communications flow, support marketing research, and financial aid operations.

Position Summary :
The Admissions Systems Specialist serves several important purposes within the admissions management area including front-line customer service, data entry management, management of the admissions communications flow, support marketing research, and financial aid operations.

Specifically, the Enrollment Systems Specialist shall :
Key Responsibilities :
- Welcome prospective students, families, and other visitors; scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Manage the front office welcome center for all guests coming to visit the admissions division.
- Manage the automation of data input of all admissions operations from recruitment to financial aid to marketing for the division.
- Ascertain what information and / or documentation is necessary to complete each student’s admissions, financial aid file and inform the applicants as appropriate.
- Manage the automation process for the admissions communications flow including both print and text messaging and electronic communications and manage the admissions operations projects such as mailings, filing, and prep of information to other offices.
- Receive incoming telephone calls and manage general admissions e-mail box; maintain event RSVP responses and confirmations; receive and distribute mail.
- Manage office inventory of materials including warehouse and in-house publication inventory, and office supplies; help maintain office equipment such as fax machine, photocopier, printer and other office fixtures.
- Assist with event planning such as Open Houses, orientation, recruitment events and other public relation events.
- Keep current on all aspects of admissions, academic programs, special services, financial aid policies and procedures, facility usage, communications / marketing, direct mail including postal regulations, electronic communications, social networking and media, Institute policies, mission and philosophy.
- Assist the marketing coordinator in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies.
- Create, develop, and maintain media list and databases and track projects and media exposure.
- Maintain calendar and appointments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
