Job Overview

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is seeking a highly skilled Master Plumber to join our team. As a Master Plumber, you will bring your advanced expertise and licensure to lead plumbing system installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential and commercial projects. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, code adherence, and excellent customer service while mentoring team members and upholding our commitment to excellence.

Please specify in your reply the Master Plumber licenses you carry and which Municipalities they have been issued in. Preference is Allentown and / or Bethlehem, PA but other Class 3 Pennsylvania cities are acceptable as well.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Plan Plumbing Systems :

Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to design and implement advanced plumbing systems per state and local building codes.

Plan and execute pipe layouts and installations that meet project specifications and customer needs.

Install, Inspect, and Repair :

Perform and oversee installations of pipes, fixtures, and appliances, ensuring quality and compliance with codes.

Diagnose and repair complex plumbing issues, including water pressure, flow, and drainage problems.

Project Leadership :

Supervise and lead plumbing teams on-site, providing technical guidance and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

Collaborate with customers, project managers, and team members to maintain timelines and customer satisfaction.

Mentorship and Training :

Train and mentor-apprentice and journeyman plumbers, sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards within the team.

Compliance and Documentation :

Ensure all work complies with plumbing regulations, building codes, and Benjamin Franklin Plumbings high standards.

Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and material usage.

Qualifications

Master Plumber License (Required) : Must hold a valid Master Plumber certification recognized by the state or relevant governing body.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a journeyman plumber, with demonstrated leadership experience.

Advanced knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and safety protocols.

Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex plumbing issues.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proven ability to mentor and manage teams effectively.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry heavy tools, equipment, and materials (up to 50 lbs).

Comfortable working in confined spaces, on ladders, and at heights when necessary.

Capacity to stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
