Job Overview
Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is seeking a highly skilled Master Plumber to join our team. As a Master Plumber, you will bring your advanced expertise and licensure to lead plumbing system installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential and commercial projects. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, code adherence, and excellent customer service while mentoring team members and upholding our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Design and Plan Plumbing Systems:
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to design and implement advanced plumbing systems per state and local building codes.
- Plan and execute pipe layouts and installations that meet project specifications and customer needs.

Install, Inspect, and Repair:
- Perform and oversee installations of pipes, fixtures, and appliances, ensuring quality and compliance with codes.
- Diagnose and repair complex plumbing issues, including water pressure, flow, and drainage problems.

Project Leadership:
- Supervise and lead plumbing teams on-site, providing technical guidance and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Collaborate with customers, project managers, and team members to maintain timelines and customer satisfaction.

Mentorship and Training:
- Train and mentor-apprentice and journeyman plumbers, sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards within the team.

Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure all work complies with plumbing regulations, building codes, and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing’s high standards.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and material usage.
Qualifications
- Master Plumber License (Required): Must hold a valid Master Plumber certification recognized by the state or relevant governing body.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a journeyman plumber, with demonstrated leadership experience.
- Advanced knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and safety protocols.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex plumbing issues.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proven ability to mentor and manage teams effectively.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy tools, equipment, and materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, on ladders, and at heights when necessary.
- Capacity to stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
