Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. Experience with single family residential construction in Westchester is must. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and site management.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage construction schedules to ensure timely project completion.
- Oversee daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to facilitate smooth workflow and communication.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and adherence to project specifications.
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and implementing cost control measures.
- Prepare construction estimates and assist in the bidding process as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team collaboration and conflict resolution.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
