Position Overview:
Entry level position providing support to internal and external parties on the various components related to product procurement for hospitality projects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Create and assemble request for quotes and purchase orders
- Compile project budgets for internal review
- Assist on bid analysis
- Track vendor status updates
- Coordination with vendors, freight managers, clients, and warehouses
- Assist with project close-out
- A professional, results-oriented person with creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task, and have great attention to detail
- Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to represent the company and project team in a professional manner
- Proficient typing skills required
- Proficient computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft products; must have experience with Excel spreadsheets
- Able to effectively coordinate a number of projects simultaneously
- Ability to work as a team member
- Previous experience in purchasing or hotel/restaurant operations role is a plus, but not required
- Previous work directly related to the hospitality industry is a plus, but not required
